After the Event: Thank Your Attendees Within 24 Hours
As the event ends, so does the job of many event organizers who measure the event’s success or failure simply based on the day of the event. As mentioned at the beginning of the book, though, each event has three phases, i.d., before, during, and after the event, and none of them is less important than the others.
The smart thing to do is to take the necessary actions after the event to let the audience know that you are serious about your job. In this way, you can make it possible to absorb customers again for the future events.
The actions to take after the event are as follows: a. Say Thanks to Event Attendees Saying thanks to the audience is an extremely important and influential principle in holding an event, and it’s something I always do, and I insist on thanking all the attendees as soon as possible.
Say thanks to all the attendees, including suppliers, exhibitors, visitors, sponsors, employees, and any other attendant as soon as possible and preferably, within 24 hours after the event; thank them contentedly and express your hope that they will attend future events, as well.
You can categorize the attendees and send different messages to each group, which shows your attention to them.
To offer exclusive thanks, send a memorable photo or videoclip of the event for the audience to leave a more positive impact. For example, you can send them a photo of their booth which is taken on the day of the event or a video of interviewing them.
